Breathwork is a powerful tool for release, remembrance and reconnection. I have been practicing breathwork for over 5 years and I’ve fallen in love with it. It has been the biggest catapult to my inner healing and understanding of not only who I am as a person, but what my body is capable of. Breathwork is one of the core tools I use across all of my offerings - from 1:1 coaching to touch therapy. Why? Because your breath is the fastest way to drop out of the mind and into your body - to access emotion, move stuck energy and return to your truth. Whether you’re looking for emotional release, spiritual connection or simply a way to feel again - your breath will guide you there. what is breathwork?

Breathwork is one of the fastest-growing practices on the planet right now. Breathwork is a term for various breathing practices in which the conscious control of breathing influences a person's mental, emotional or physical state, with a therapeutic effect. In breathwork, we use specific breathing methods to take us out of our egoic, conscious mind and connect us to our body and our subconscious. In general, the goal of any breathwork therapy is to support people in achieving a greater sense of self-awareness and capacity for self-healing. It helps people work toward overall improvement in mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

So how does it work exactly?

In the breathwork class, we will use the power of intention, breath, sound, movement and music to facilitate the deep dive into our body/mind where we can access our healing energies. We will start by finding a comfortable seated position or lying down on your back in a relaxed position and we will begin specific methods of breathing in a way that begins to oxygenate your system. The music will help you to relax, motivate you to keep up with the breathing patterns and this process will begin to release emotions and energies in your body. I’ll guide you through the whole process so you can relax into it and allow your body to just flow with the experience.

CLASSES OFFERED

single group session - $44

This class is all for you! Feel free to bring your friends and family but this class will be focused on individual intention and will use guided breath with movement and sound to connect deeper to your Self in a transformational experience.

1:1 breathwork session - $99

This is the 1:1 breathwork session where it’ just me and you. We’ll start the session by discussing what your intention is and then we will use that intention as a road map as we use breath patterns to go deep and invite the body along to move energy and awaken you to knew depths of your Self.

coupleS group SESSION- $83

This class is for you and your partner and will be focused on both of your intentions and will use guided breath, eye gazing, sound and movement to connect on a deeper level and create more intimacy and clarity in your partnership.

Are There Contraindications For Doing Breathwork?

Like most types of therapy, breathwork isn’t appropriate for everyone. It’s recommended that you consult with your healthcare provider (including any mental health provider), and also let me know about any health concerns before participating in a breathwork session. 

Here are the common contraindications for breathwork: If you have any of the following health issues, please consult with your physician before participating.

  • Cardiovascular problems

  • High or abnormal blood pressure

  • History of aneurysms

  • Epilepsy or history of seizures

  • Anyone on heavy medication

  • Severe psychiatric symptoms, particularly psychosis or paranoia

  • Bipolar depression

  • Osteoporosis

  • Recent surgery

  • Glaucoma

  • Pregnancy

  • An active addiction

  • Any person with mental illness who isn’t in treatment or lacks adequate support

Breathwork can result in an intense physical and emotional release. Therefore, it is not advised for persons with a history of cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack, high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, any significant recent physical injuries or surgeries. 

Breathwork is not advised for persons with severe mental illness or seizure disorders or for persons using major medications. It is also unsuitable for anyone with a personal or family history of aneurysms. 

Breathwork sessions can sometimes bring up intense emotions and memories, which can be overwhelming and difficult to process without proper support. My role is to guide you and support you through this so that you feel safe and capable. During the breathwork sessions I will encourage and motivate you to let go of your fears and push through the discomfort so you can come out on the other side where there is a renewed sense of relief and trust in your Self. Using breathwork to break down the walls that have limited you is worth the journey, you can do it.
